NIKA is hiring for an experienced and motivated Manager of IT to join our corporate IT Team and lead the successful delivery of projects in support of NIKAâs strategic business objectives. This position will be based out of our HQ office in Rockville, MD!

Primary Duties and Job Responsibilities
Manages the service desk team and oversees the ticketing system, ensuring efficient operation and timely resolution of customer issues within the service desk function.
Communicates project statuses, issues, and outcomes to EVP of IT and provides regular reports and analytics.
Monitors and controls project performance and progress; identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Manages documentation for the IT department.
Assists in the implementation and maintenance of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance, ensuring NIKA meets the necessary security standards required to handle sensitive DoD information.
Responsible for leading weekly, monthly, and periodic IT operations and compliance meetings.
Details and documents all phases, milestones, and tasks relevant to a given project.
Analyzes current IT infrastructure and identifies potential future needs.
Develops detailed budget proposals for hardware, software, maintenance, licenses and personal costs.
Coordinates and oversees the implementation of IT solutions including security, infrastructure, software, systems, and industry certification in accordance with the project plan and NIKAâs standards and policies.
Undertakes additional assignments as directed.
Essential Skills
Minimum five (5) years of service desk/help desk experience
Minimum three (3) years of Service Desk Lead or higher experience
Minimum one (1) year of experience with CMMC and NIST 800-171 controls desired.Â
Familiarity with project management solutions such as MS Project, MS Planner, or JIRA.
Positive and proactive self-starter with a passion for learning, continuous self-improvement, and skills development.
Efficient and effective at managing time, workload, and priorities independently and with minimal oversight.
Critical thinker with strong aptitude for solving technical and logic-based problems.
Education, Training, and Certifications
Bachelorâs Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field desired, but not required.
IT industry-specific certifications, such as Sec Security Plus, ITIL, and ITSM certifications desired, but not required.
Project management certifications, such as CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, PPM, or Agile desired, but not required.
