Maintenance Trades Helper
Department: Facilities Operations Management
Location: Kodiak, AK, US
NIKA is hiring for a Maintenance Trades Helper for a base operations support services contract at the US Coast Guard Base in Kodiak, AK!

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of trades and laboring duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities and equipment. Duties require trade practices associated with painting, carpentry and laboring work.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing appliances and fixtures.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address them proactively.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in performing duties as described and the ability to follow oral and written instructions involving those duties.
- Be skilled in use and operation of common hand and power tools and measuring devised of the painting/carpentry trades.
- Must have ability to learn new techniques and procedures associated with the preceding.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
