Rockville, MD, December 14, 2015 — ‘Tis the season for giving! This holiday season, NIKA partnered with two local organizations as part of their Community Outreach Program.
Over Thanksgiving, NIKA partnered with Manna Food Center, a local organization that strives to end hunger in Montgomery County through food distribution, education and advocacy. Getting their start in 1983, they provide food to 40,000 individuals each year and almost all social service organizations rely on Manna.
NIKA matched every donation made by employees. Through these efforts, over 300 pounds of food was donated to help Manna’s mission. We are very grateful to everyone who participated and look forward to continuing our partnership with Manna.
Recently, NIKA held a toy drive in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program to further their message of hope to less fortunate children. Founded in 1947, Toys for Tots has distributed over 494 million toys to over 230 million children.
NIKA held a toy drive for two weeks in their HQ offices. Through their effort, they overflowed four TOT boxes to support the cause. NIKA is honored to be a part of such a longstanding organization who has helped so many in their tenure.
NIKA is very grateful to everyone who participated and look forward to continuing their partnership with both Manna and Toys for Tots.
