Six Mile NIKA JV Awarded $159M United States Coast Guard Base Operations Support Contract at Base Kodiak

Six Mile NIKA JV, an Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC) 8(a) Joint Venture between Six Mile, LLC (Six Mile) and NIKA Technologies, Inc. (NIKA) was awarded a $159 million contract with the United States Coast Guard to provide Base Operations Support for Base Kodiak in Kodiak, Alaska.

Work being performed under this new contract include facilities maintenance, environmental management, janitorial services, snow removal, utilities infrastructure operations, fuel services, vehicle maintenance, housing maintenance and more. The scope of work also covers multiple forward operating locations including Sitkinak Island, Cold Bay, and Cordova. Base Kodiak property cumulatively consists of approximately 21,500 acres with approximately 400 buildings and structures totaling over 2,500,000 square feet of building space.

Base Kodiak is the home of “Rock Solid Support” that serves as the senior Mission Support touchstone for Coast Guard operations within the 17th Coast Guard District across Alaska. Kodiak Island is approximately 250 miles southwest of Anchorage and is the largest operational base in the United States Coast Guard.

This single award Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity contract began on July 1, 2024 and has a five-year period of performance.
